Woah. I'm guessing you haven't set up your bike man? If your saddle was in the right position you wouldn't move it for anything. The saddle position in the rails is one of the most important factors in bikes.
When on your bike, put your crank at 9'o'clock (either one will do) the hollow on the outside of your knee and the centre of your pedal axle needs to be a vertical line. This is measured by using a plum line (string with heavy weight attached to the end). This plum line can be adjust by moving the saddle forwards or backwards in the rails.
This bit is so important as it directly affects your muscle positioning and knee joint which are the main two problems associated with cycling.
I don't mean to come off pushy I'm just trying to give you some advice to improve the overall comfort and performance of your ride.
However that is a sweet bike man, what frame is it? Just in case you ever need anything, I will do trade prices + vat(15%) on anything you should ever need for bikes in return for some Boax goods. Get in touch.
Easy boys and I'll get my fixed up soon.
