After studying under PHD's and people who dedicate their lives to determining what we need to do in times like these I can give you a million reasons why this statement is wrong. However the complexity of most of the formulas are sometimes too intense for me nevermind someone who doesn't generally study economics.

False, Japan's currency is great. Their housing prices are relatively stable. Their unemployment is significantly lower. There is actually a great graph in the economist that says all of the latter info and then some that will show you why that's wrong.

Obama really isn't destroying free market principles. He has done some things that go against them but he isn't going to convert this country to socialism. Banks were nationalized in Japan and Sweden and guess what, it got them out of their recession.It's not fully nationalized the government just owns a share of stock.

If you ask any legitimiate economist they will tell you this simple statement: In a recession of this magnitude you HAVE to spend a lot of money to stimulate things and keep us from falling in a world of shit. This country was built by lending and spending when in debt.

The way Japan settled it's recession was by nationalizing banks and a stimulus which did in fact work.

Where did I say we needed 70% income taxes...I didn't. I am not a fan of taxing. I said some incorporating, you completely took my argument out of context. I consider myself to be a relatively lax person when it comes to market regulatory procedures, however that changes in a time of deep integrated issues such as now. We need to spend and the government HAS to do something in a time like this.

Nationalizing banks is a great way to provide more incentive for different aspects of economic growth. Now, the only con to this is finding a purchaser to absorb the nationalized banks back into the private sector after the government has run its job. In a country like America, it shouldn't be a problem as long as we don't sway competition in a huge way.

Are you kidding? The problem with our media is that too many people speak up. Fox news makes outrageous claims about Obama being a terrorist, MSNBC says that the GOP supports domestic terrorists, rush limbaugh says whatever the fuck he wants and now we have david fricken letterman calling sarah palin a slut. The upper middle class is where you will find most of the hardest working Americans you will ever meet in your life. These are people like my father who come from poor backgrounds, haven't gone to college or even graduated high school (my dad) and built a company from the ground up.

It's not the people earning 100k a year that's the problem. It's the CEO's that get 2 million dollar bonuses simply because they signed a contract stating I will work for this company X amount of years. It is insane how much we value certain labor aspects in this economy. Baseball players, major CEO's, etc etc. It is the people that have more money than god and don't do anything with it that kills economic growth. This is where I have an issue. It's not right to tell anyone what to do with their money, but if every rich person was like Bill Gates with their money we wouldn't have a problem. He willingly donates to charity and RE INVESTS the money back into the American economy. This stimulates growth and at a couple hundred million dollars an investment, his money has a large portion for just an individual consumer.

Abolishment of unfair and outrageous taxation are what built this country and we should stick to that. The problem is people were responsible with their money in America up until very recently. Now our GDP is being pissed away by a lack of new industry, externalizing capital, and various other things.

I absolutely agree about the upper class, the taxes that the obama administration have and will put on these people wont make their lives any less privileged.

However, i would say that many of the hardest working americans are in the lower class, people who work 3 jobs just to feed their children and pay the rent. They get no vacation and little sleep, no extra money for unnecessary things. These are the people we need to help. We need to use some of the rich's money to help build new schools and raise up our lower class, or we will end up with the 1900s again

Obama CANNOT cut our taxes and expand all of his policies at the same time period. Obama could tax the so called "rich" people in this country 100% and still not have enough money to cover his social programs. why expand government social programs when the current ones do not work?

you want universal health care? actually, i would love to have that if it would work. there is no way in hell thats going to work without taxing the american public at least 10% or more. thats just for one program. thats a whole other problem that is way way out of control, our healthcare costs in this country. (my girlfriend actually is a nurse and had to right a 20 page paper on universal healthcare and the pros and cons, pretty interesting actually)

what people dont understand is that the government has to raise some sort of tax to deliver a social program. if he cuts our FICA taxes he will raise some other tax to compensate. our federal government is not stupid they will get their money somehow.

Obama is putting the fear of God into the American business system. Ive seen it first hand. from the Vice presidents of corporations, to CEO's to sales reps, to truck drivers... Im not saying Obama is a stupid man, he is very smart. I just strongly disagree with his policies. by fear i mean more taxes and regulations for our countries business system. if you want to see what a social, high tax state looks like, take California for example. Taxes are so high in that state that businesses are pouring out of that state. nobody wants to do business in that state, which is sad but its the truth. if we apply that to the rest of the country we will see even larger numbers of companies moving operations overseas.

look at the American business system. our economy is being outsourced at an alarming rate. in a little over 10 years about 90% of our furniture case goods have been imports instead of being made in this country and thats just furniture alone. If obama wanted to create "jobs" why doesnt he help out the people in this country that can create jobs rather than expanding social programs? why doesnt he cut the corporate tax rate and make us a level playing field for the rest of the world?
