i was thinkin bout gettin some this yr casue i broke my hip last yr but the first day out this yr i crashed hard and couldnt feel a thing so i decided it was a waste a money. but the jumps here are icy and someimes hurt

i will admit with no hesitation that i wear hip/ass pads when i'm in the park.....i always seem to land hard as fuck right on my hip when i fall off rails or when i catch an edge on a landing....and after the softball size bruise i got a month ago, i bought some hardcore mountain boarding pad shorts.....i can drop like ten feet on to ice right on my hip or ass and literally not feel a thing.....so helpful with the confidence factor

i have a pair of gockgrdn shorts..they're made 4 mtn biking which i also do but they're great 4 skiing especially in the east, and if ur learning spinning onto rails

dave mine are called 'grit X gear' and i got them at gart bros....they were like $90, but the pads are rediculous thick (if you ever played football then think at least as thick as football pads).....i spring right back up from falls that would otherwise end my day (or more)
