Getting new phone under warranty

so the one year warranty on my phone is ending soon and i want to get a new one before it runs out

i was thinking of leaving the phone in the freezer over night to see if that will work, any other idea?
and it has to look like its a default effect i cant just put it in water

put it in the microwave...that'll definitely do it. the only thing the freezer will do is possibly crack your screen (which they won't warrantee).

if IF, the little piece of litmus type paper is on the battery or on the cover take that out firtst. if its visible on the phone cover it with tape. then dunk in water

all of this sounds like you're going to end up breaking your phone, taking it in, them saying we know what you did, and you payin big money for a new money. don't chance it man

it's quite all right, really. a 5 second burst in the microwave is enough to fry the board without blowing up the microwave. i worked in telecom for years and I'd do this for my friends all of the time to warrantee their phones.
