okay back to china...
no one seems to have adressed china's economy. as usual, most of you ethnocentric die hard americans refuse to believe that someone could do things better than you. and so you refuse to consider the possibility. you hide behind your ethnocentric ideas. china, no fucking way. their economy is in ruins. they drink out of the sewer. they are horribly educated. their environmental policies are shit (i have no idea why any of you actually mentioned that one). you are not being objective, and you most definately are going off of what you've always heard and the impressions that you have always had of china.
Its like this...
1. China has Hong Kong back, which has long been considered one of the financial capitals of the world. A ridiculous amount of money is produced there, it is going to do wonders. You are unaware of its potential because living over here you cannot see the difference that it is already making, keep in mind that it has only been under chinese control for a few years now.
2. China is a market share economy. for all of you who don't know what this is i'll explain. People have china build their shit for them because the labor is cheaper. and while you may think that your made in china mcdonalds toys are products of the manipulation of the peon chinese factory workers, you do not realize how much money is being poured into their economy because of crappy plastic toys like these.
3. for any of you who have made this step in your thinking process: china should not be compared to communist russia (the USSR). The United States (through the brilliance of Regan - bless his incompetent soul) out spent the USSR in the weapons race of the cold war. Regan bought bombs and weapons and boats and machine guns in competition with russia, until russia could no longer keep up and thier economy went down the hole. We aren't outbuying China - american companies (as well as international companies) are outsourcing to china, we and others are dumping money into thier economy. and when it becomes necessary, they will shift from communism to socialism and they will explode on the scene.
4. i said it before and i'll say it again: a billion fucking people. a billion people is more than your mind can comprehend. you just cannot fit that number into your head. once those people are spending they will have more money than all civilizations, countries and empires have ever had.
You live in america, america is your home. You do not entirely know what is going on outside of the country. seperate what you percieve from what you know to be empiracly true.
America is terrified of asia right now, not the other way around. We won't fight Korea and we wont fight china, it will end in nuclear war. drop a bomb on beijing and say goodbye to nyc. This isn't a control battle that america is going to be able to fight. america is going to have to shut its fucking face and sit down in the backseat. and for all of you who say that we have fought other countries and won (even whopped their asses), i say this. think about who and when we've fought. In terms of presidents wanting to go to war - for whatever reasons - they have made intellegent decisions for assurance of victory (with the exception of Vietnam and definately Iraq). When did we enter WW1 and WW2? after france and england had been exhausted, when germany was exhausted, when we could step in and save the day. Korea, Kuwait, better weapons. Afghanistan? i don't even need to explain that one. We will not fight china, we will not fight Korea. its too fucking risky, bad bad bad things will happen. we have too much to lose, in terms of establishment - more than them.
