well i like to line my hoods. so i just make the same hoodie twice then put the draw string on the seam then pull the hood rightside out and sew like a 3 inch line on the top to hold it in place and then make like a square with a dense zigzag stitch to reinforce the hole i cute to pull the string through.
If you have a lined hood you can also put it on after the hoodie is done.. just sew a line an inch in from the edge of the hood, cut two little holes in and feed the drawstring through.
i'm bumping this because i'm about to put my hood on and on hoodies that i buy they come with metal or plastic rings (can't remember what they're called) that the string goes through on the side of the hoodie. do you guys use those and can i buy them somewhere, or do you just cut a hole and leave it?
