Is the Canyons park in PC good?

so my dad and i are thinking about moving there for the winter.... what would you rate the park(s) out of 10?

Well if you move there, you can still go to park city, its like 2 mins away, but canyons has dope jibs and ok jumps. I recommend Park City if you wanna ski park though, canyons has much more all mountain skiing though.

Canyons park is good, definitely not pc, but the mountain and park  as a whole is best mix of everything IMO in utah,

"the canyons" and "park city mountain resort" are seperate resorts that are in the town park city, utah. When i refer to park city mountain resort i say park city, i dont mean the down. PCMR has a better park but less terrain than the canyons.

The park at The Canyons has lots of fun unique set ups that you probably would never find in most parks.  The first part of this episode has a Canyons section if you want to it check out.

best park's over at Alta.  biggest jumps for sure. not to many rails, but thenagain those are for pussys.

what upset me about the canyons is that you had to park in a real low lot, take a cabrio? lift (a gondola convertible) to the main base/hotel area, then take another gondola to reach all the other lifts. the 3 times i went to pc i was able to park a few feet from whatever lift is right near picknshovel park. BTW, the park in the canyons was fun, the jibs were all set up in real unique ways and from the looks of others videos they move them around quite a bit. Negative was that the jumps are not as good as pc's ... on the 2nd jump in the 1st set on the day i was there you could only make it over if you bombed from way up in the mid of the rail section and skipped a ton of features

yea completely agree w/ eheath. but i would like to stress the difference of ALL MOUNTAIN riding that can be done between the two. Canyons is the biggest resort in UTAH and still growing. 9990 & peak 5(name of the lifts) has some really good "short hikes" 15-30 minutes of chair. Its no bird or alta, but you can find 25-30 footers no problem. And the have a really fun atmosphere, free concerts and short lift lines. PC has park and not much else. Jupitor is alright, same w/ mckonkey but really just long groomers and park sking.

o yea and the canyons has the canibus loopis, not sure if i spealt it right but looki it up if you ski there, so sick

yea there jumps arent great but there getting better every year. definitely a lot smaller park set up but really fun and unique jibs

itss deffinatly worth moving there and being as your going with your dad i would say go to the canyons.
there jumps arent that bad and they have some decent size ones and they have tons ofr crazy wcky jibs but the main thing they have is a killer mountain.
its so big and wide there are so many places to go around and ski all the natural halfpipes and chutes its crazy.
if you were just going to school out there like me and wanted to focus on park id say PC thats where im going but as far as being with your dad who i doubt would be into the park thing your should go with the canyons.
or get a pass and pc and snowbrid cuz snowbird is an insanly sweet hill but the shitiest park pretty much ever haha
good luck you will for sure love it anywhere you end up in utah
