iPhone will not be on Verizon until AT&T builds out its LTE network. Then we'll see Apple release a 4G iPhone and by then AT&T's exclusivity agreement will be up, so it should be released on Verizon as well. You won't see a Verizon iPhone until at least 2011.
I mean its cool but not groundbreaking like the previous phones. I have the 3G right now and there are not that many new features that would entice me to get a new one, never mind the cost. If I did not have one I would get it in a second though..
when i watched the guided tour, everything that was being said seemed almost unreal, like technology has been progressing soooo fast lately. Its kind weird but cool and good i guess.
AT&T and Apple haven't released the terms of their exclusivity agreement. I guess the point I was trying to make is that Apple won't waste R&D dollars to develop an iPhone that would run on a technology that will be replaced in a couple years (CDMA). Apple's more about new, groundbreaking and innovative. Thus, when we see a Verizon iPhone, it will be new, groundbreaking and innovative. What better way to make it so than introducing a 4G phone before the competition?
The only problem is that Verizon's 4G/LTE network won't be operational until the second half of 2010. And even then it will only be available in 20-30 markets. AT&T's won't be operational until 2011. So while theoretically we could see an iPhone on Verizon in 2010, I think it's much more likely that Apple waits for AT&T to catch up to Verizon, in order to simplify production. That's why I said 2011 at the earliest.
word, same thing here in nz. shits crazy. if I don't lock myself into a contract for 2 years the phone costs $980. and like $12 for 100mb. If I sign a contract I have to pay $40 a month for 2 years (240mb and 20min of calling + 100 texts), get the phone for $199. ghey
I've had the original for 2 years now. Its still going strong, but I'll prolly end up getting the 16gb 3gS. I'm glad I didn't waste money upgrading to the 3g. Only reason I really want to upgrade is for the gps and the improved camera. $200 isn't bad considering I paid $600 for my original back in the day :/
Only downside, and part of the reason I didn't get the last 3g iphone is that its gonna cost me $15 more a month to add texting. Sucks.
nike running is the only thing i would want, and maybe video. The rest ill get in the 3.0 software update. And the plans arent that bad. If you haggle in Canada, Im with fido and my plan is 35 a month and sick. Phone comanies here offer you shitty plans but you dont have to take them, if you argue with the sales reps on the phone theyll give you good deals.
