Need help with some dimensions

So I am building a summer set up and I am not sure if this is steep enough for the height. I would also like to know what dimensions i should use for a ramp roughly. And how long should my flat run?

The rail i have is 1 1/2 feet high and 10 feet long
+karma for help

my laptop has 172 virusus and cant view pics so my advice is slightly limited. but my setup is a 16 foot a-rail, the drop in ramp is about 12 feet long with about 8-10 vertical feet of drop and a 2 foot flat section before the jump. the best thing you can do is test the speed with what you have before you go cutting up your ramp. you can add speed by stapling on some plastic construction fencing or soaping. all i use is straight water and its fine

that flat is wayyyyyyyyy to long, go with like 2 feet. and make the tranys smooth and easy

ya i just did a random size for flat had no clue what it should be.
do i need a smoother transition from the ramp to the flat u mean?

yes and from the flat to the takeoff. because if your going down at an angle to a flat your skis will want to move into the ground because of the angle, but they change direction quickly and loose speed because of that. so by having a smoother trany you will carry more speed into the takeoff

what i did, i did a ladder type drop in, cuts down on the friction. works pretty well with carpet and snow fence on top. your transistion from the drop in to the flat is way too sharp, i'll post some pics of mine on here when i get home, in school. and i'll take some of my drop in.
