Inground trampolines

My brothers and I are planning to turn our trampoline inground, but we are not 100% sure about how to make the retaining walls, drain.
Have you ever done it before? Any tips?

my friends is on a hill with a drain about half way up because a little water doesnt matter. The drain is about a foot or two under ground and comes out about 20ft down-hill. They dont have any retaining walls b/c you dont really need straight vertical walls cuz you arent fully depressing the tramp right on the edges. Finally, they have a wooden deck about 2 feet around it that is flush with the edge of the tramp which makes it pretty fun to do tricks onto as long as you land them.

set up a pump system, and drain it before you use it if there is a lot of water

yeah if there is a little water it doesnt matter, but you might get a nice mosquito harvest tho ! :)

if you use a pump, they're pretty expensive. hopefully its on a hill like everyone mentioned above. or else its not going to be cheap

For mine we dug kind of an octogon and put up boards to keep from caving in accordingly. No draingage system, you dont really need one, but LOTS of frogs end up getting stuck in the hole. there is probably fifty under ours right now. Makes a cool snow fort in the winter too.

not the best idea. this restricts the amount of airflow below your tramp bed and will greatly lessen the amount of bounce you get from it. set the trampoline about 4" above ground level

marine bilge pumps are pretty cheap and work very well and they dont use too much power either.

oh and you can get automatic switches for them that turn on when there is over a certain amount of water in the hole

assuming they are setting square tramps, leave the corners of the tramp frame unpadded, which will allow air to flow freely under the tramp.

my friend has one and he dug a long trough for a pvc drainage, he had an escavator so it made it easy, for the walls (his tramp is square) he put 4 post cemented into the ground and nailled water treated wood to the post and stacket them up and back filled to make everything flush
