Stickers on macbook

whats the process to remove them ?
i peeled some off and some of that sticky shit stayed and looks like shit


how do you get this shit off ?

please keep the immuture comments to yourself, such as " dont put stickers on" keep them on" ect.

I'm gonna go with elbow grease or Goo Gone to get the residue off. Or maybe just a little rubbing alcohol (or everclear) might do the trick also. Or you could try some Stainless Steel cleaner if you have a MBP.

first i think you can take off the sticky shit with windex and a rough cloth, and peeling them off with a razor has worked for me before

acetone...or it's sister product, nail polish removal.
This doesn't damage it at all so don't be afraid to be generous with it.

you can buy this stuff called goo be gone at hard ware stores that gets rid of sticky things and adhesives.  it looks like this...

best thing i found was to just slowly work it off with a damp cloth. takes a long time, but it doesnt damage it.

never really thought about this, but is there a "post your computer" on here?

Canola oil is also a good alternative. It takes a little rubbing but it works pretty well

Nailpolish remover or a little rubbing alcohol on a q-tip or cotton ball will do the trick!

....nail polish remover contains enough acetone to get the stick off without damaging anything. And it's dirt cheap.
works a hell of a lot better than rubbing alcohol.

lighter fluid or gas work too. not being an asshole, im 100 % serious. put it on a q-tip and rub it right off. its the cheap way if you have some lying around

windex works well, just spray it onto a cloth, and rub it on the sticky part, it'll come off pretty easily.

+1 for goo gone. i used it to debadge my hooptie, no damage, so id imagine it would be good with your MB.

I changed my mind. I used this stuff called Kustom Kleen while scrubbing gunk off floors. It is so legit and way better than goo gone. Trust me it is my job haha

baby oil! trust me, its really gentle with the mac book surface but still works. and if you are worried about it being oily or greasy afterwords, just uses a paper towel to wipe it off.

use a piece of duct tape
stick it on the sticky parts and lift off a couple of times
do it slowly and it will work

Thinners would also work, petrol would most likely work. But I think there are better alternatives already given in here haah

you could try dampening a cloth, otherwise they sell some sticker removed stuff at art supply or possibly hardware stores. i have some its crazy working. its made by the scotch tape people

Step 1: neatly fold a paper towel into a small rectangle

Step 2: evenly squirt goo gone onto it

Step 3: place below nostrils and deeply inhale

Step 4: rub surface until not sticky

Step 5:exhale
