The Ideal Size, How long is your rail?

My rail is 10 feet long but it feels just a little bit too short. How long is your rail and do you like the length? What size do you think is perfect?

10ft is good enough to learn tricks on, I have two 10ft rails that I put back to back to make a 20ft rail.  I am making a wider lower 14ft rail just to learn tricks on.

standard pvc is 8 feet or so i think, maybe 10, which is too short to learn any worthwhile tricks. if you play around with your base designs you can make a flat down or whatever kinks. my setup is an A-rail

i have a 16 foot pvc rail which seems far too short to do any combos on. i just made a 20 foot metal flat rail and the difference is very noticable and i would suggest going wtih at least 20!

If you are looking to do big combos then yeah you will  need 20ft+, but if you are looking for a plain basic rail to learn tricks on you should be fine with 14ft. Also keep speed in mind, you don't want to build a huge rail and barely have enough speed to slide the whole thing.

i have a 14 foot pvc rail, and a 16 foot metal rail. i think there good lengths but i ideally want to build a 20 foot pvc box to progress on

Do you think that is fast enough for a 15 or 16 foot rail?

it will take good balance and rail skils but you may be able to get enough speed. try and get more for a longer rail

17 foot flat rail. Pretty good for one switchup and as many spins as possible out.

yea ive got a 18 foot metal rail and it works great, kinda long but good for learning tricks

Yeah mine's either 8 or 10 feet long (one PVC pipe) and it's way too short. I have enough speed so I'll probably add another on at the end.

Here's a question: The one built now is a double barrel, but the next one is a single. Do you think I should make one lower than the other, or what order should it go? I'm no rail master so what would be easier?
