Footbeds and heel lifts in Full Tilts

I found that the fitting problem for me is that I need to use a custom footbed(will be using SOLEs) and a heel lift.  I know FT liners don't come with footbeds, but can you put one in and mold the liner after that?(flattening the bottom of the liner I'm guessing making room for the footbed).  And does anyone use a heel lift in FTs?    Konflicts were a bit too skinny for me(not molded) but that was partly due to them having the thickest FT liner, and the footbeds move my flat feet up and sort of make room in most boots.  I can get a good deal on Booters(that or an older year FT) and will change the tongues out for a 6 or a 9, so the setup would be the liners they come with molded with custom footbeds in them durring molding, using a heel lift, and changing out the booter tongue with something stiffer.  here it says that footbed thing works: http://www.untracked.com/p2519c23b113-full_tilt_intuition_pro_ski_boot_liners.html

go for it. i had issues with heel lift and couldn't get a "locked down" feeling on my instep. so i got shorter cables, stiffer tongue, custom footbeds and a small heel lift, and now they are perfect. best fit and flex i've ever had. there is no problem molding the liner with the footbed in it. so do it, you'll be stoked! my full tilt experience was that they took a bit of effort to make them work right, but the end result was amazing.

as far as tongues, definitely get the #9 if you want to do any charging on the mountain. #6 is great for park but not enough for real shredding. hope this helps.

it does a lot, thanks.  How much do you weigh and what would you compare the 9 flex tongue to?  Also what boot did you start with(meaning what liner?)

or anyone else want to try to give the 9 tongue a flex rating?

I was also thinking that the booter liner might be flimsy, anybody in it with a stiffer tongue?

i weight about 130 and i started with the dogger liner. the booter liner is flimsy and soft like you said, but it's also much thinner if you're trying to squeeze your foot in. as you upgrade the liner, it also stiffens up the boot. so my #6 tongue in the dogger feels like about a 70 flex, but when i put in the pro liner, that same tongue feels like 85 or so. meaning that a #9 with the pro liner would probably be a sick boot for ripping the mountain, and you could also swap out for a #4 or #6 if you wanted to shred some park.

so the 9 with the booter liner wouldn't actually be THAT stiff?  not a terrible thing as long as it is (hopefully)at least 110.  You think the booter liner would provide enough padding for the stiff 9 tongue?

I have 1/2" heel lifts in my Flexons and they really did help with fit problems.... It locks my heel in soooo well.

wow half inch seems big, but I guess the fairly flat footboard would make it seem smaller.  Thanks, and I will try a quarter and a half inch after I figure out how much the footbeds raise my heel(if I even need one, hoping against the odds that I wont)

It seemed big at first, but it is so nice after 2-3 runs.

And I went half inch for 2 reasons:

1. Only ones my shop had
2. I have super flat feet/no footbeds.

I also have very flat feet and wish I thought of a heel lift the beginning of this season instead of jsut after..  Good to know about the FB too, since the SOLE footbeds are thick heels and thinner after the arch they give my foot(meaning they raise my heel).  I guess I will have to just figure that out after I have them.  Too bad my Moros don't fit right after using a heel lift, I'll have to sell for half of what I paid even though I got a good deal.
