Remounting Invaders

Im unhappy with the shitty Marker M1100 bindings I used on my Invaders last season as they prerelease all the time. I want to change the bindings but Im not sure how to find a drill pattern that will allow me to remount dead centre. Is it just a case of taking the bindings off and  trying the drill patterns to see what can fit around the existing holes?

Id recommend letting a shop mount your bindings for you, but if you insist to do it your self, pull the bindings off the skis, lay some paper over the old hole pattern, and there you have your own homemade jig. Your boots have a midsole mark in the middle of them, that should be directly in the middle of the ski.

Are you just remounting you m11.0?

this thread is kinda confusing but

flip them around and mount, it works fine and ive seen people do it since they're symmetrical

should work

Marker hole patterns are made to fit around each other, for example the two front toe holes can be recycled with griffons/jesters, and the third will not interfere with the other drill, have a shop do it. Those biometric toes at that low of a din range will keep releasing; the binding was meant for skiers who just cruise around the mountain, not for someone who is banging on it, and going off jumps. Get some Jesters and you will be way happier, your will notice the difference in the way the ski handles, it's so much better.

last year i ripped my heelpiece (marker m14free) out of my plank, went to shop, they adviced to redrill but only had mounting patterns for jesters and dukes, so i dont think the mounting pattern is the same, we compared in the shop....

but however, maybe the pattern for m11 and m14 is the same since theyre kinde similar bindings....

ps furthermore im still happy with my m14 .... i found jesters to be too expensive....

Cool. All v useful advice. I am really looking to remount with some FKS 155s I have acquired but if they dont  fit around the current holes I will look into fitting some Jesters or some of the older higher DIN Markers.

I do find that the brake system tends to get ripped from the ski on the old style Markers though.

I have a pair of T-halls that started out with some look PX 15's for 30.0 boot, i re-drilled the same binding for a 26.5 boot in the same center line, broke that binding and remounted with griffons, and just recently mounted with marker MRR Race, so i have drilled the ski 4 times on the same line, and have no problems, with room to heli coil if needed. You can safely drill a ski up to 3 times, as long as there is 1cm between the old holes and new ones

yep, if you are worried about the old marker holes getting in the way, just flip the ski around and mount them the other way, not a problem seeing as they are symetical.
