Official 09/10 Hype Thread

With the dead of the summer I often find skiers gloomy and bummed the hell out. But with our minds wondering off as usual thinking about skiing we have some rad ideas. As the 08/09 season comes to an end and people can think back and see it was truly a sick year. With pk changing the look of spinning and chug bringin it like we have never seen what can we expect for the next year. After the showing of the  SIA videos, the ski industry looks to be takin a turn for the better next year. Personally im really stoked to see the afterbang and armada's new clothing line. On that note what are you hyped about and cant wait to see in the next season.

I am extremely excited to see how people progress the new 50/50's and other new grinds that people like and parry are doing. It is really a cool change/progression brought to skiing and soon there are going to be some nasty things thrown down involving them. i also want to see more combo and double grabs, people like Tanner Rainville ( there are others) that make it their signiture style i want to see more of that rather then all these double flips. but thats just me and actually a lot of doubles are real cool as long as you keep the grabs. exampl of this are PKs double corks also LJ strenio next year will be better if that is even possible. I cannot wait

yea im thinking next year is going to be alot diff instead of just pretz and tons of switchups not that there bad but more taps and butters and crazy rail combos i think hornbeck casg and will and andy are pushing it more in that aspect at least thats wat i would like to see more of

pipe skiing: sure, this year xavier finally getting recognised in america at x was cool but we still had a lot of tanner vs simon narcolepsy-inducing storyline bs. next season there is no excuse for this dragging on any further. pipe skiing will finally have a really deep field of genuine contenders:

xavier bertoni, kevin rolland, justin dorey, matt philippi, mike riddle, tanner, simon are all genuinely capable of winning gold.

then there's guys like jossi, colby and andreas who could, if they choose to actually train halfpipe, put in the odd top notch pipe run.

duncan adams, aj kempainen and others are always super stylish to watch, and maybe they'll start getting recognition for this. maybe kalle leinonen will make a comeback as well- he had a sick 07-08 season and then disappeared this season, what happened?

plus there's a bunch of young challengers like byron wells, taylor seaton, thomas krief and others who could definately blow up.

so yeah, pipe skiing will be worth follwing next season for sure.

I want to see more butters and taps, more backcountry, maybe some kind of bc competition actually, and I DEF want to see Pep Fujas in some films

As for me, Im going to do more backcountry, butters, taps, and maybe start rails. Idk, skiing for 10 years and I still dont see the point in rail-skiing.

i recently saw Joysticks "HOT LUNCH" and just like travelling circus, i highly support this kind of skiing, im not saying these guys aint pros but i really enjoy watching skiers, edits that reflect the true meaning of skiing and that is having a good time, friendship and travelling....

lets just hope 09/10 brings us a shitload of snow....

shit man i totally forgot about that yeah i think that is so dope. i just wanna see somebody that totally doesnt need to do what everybody else wants to do. i really like henricks interview when he said he just wants to do his own thing and make every trick his own. i really think that is dope for putting his neck out on the line and being a bit difforent. i know a bunch of other people are doing this to but i just thought henrick showed it the best

I'm pumped for all the 09/10 gear, it's so sick!!

and of course... SKIING!!!!11!!!1!!! shralpin some gnarrrrr, gettin some trips out west for some real powder, shreedddin park at home and all the guys pushin the limits and makin up new shit!!!!!! lots of up and coming prooooooooos!!
