The opening fight scene in Watchmen with The Gamber or Joker or whatever the fuck his name is fighting in his apartment had such amazing cinemaography I actually said "jesus thats beautiful" out loud.

This is amazing, im a geologist student and im used to working with air-photos all the time, but these really are the most amazing top-down shots iver ever seen...

Thats the entire message of the movie.

Its pretty depressing and is basically an hour and a half long guilt trip... but it really does hammer home the message.

those are some good looking shots but I wouldnt call helicopter shots in slowmotion the most beautifull cinematography.

agreed. don't get me wrong, the shots are amazing, but that's kinda what you expect when you have a huge crew of camera men, a helicopter(s), the best locations on earth, and $100,000+ cameras (the movie is, after all, sponsored by Gucci). Sure, it takes a talented cinematographer (or videographer, i'm not sure how this movie was shot) to film something extraordinary and make it just as awe-inspiring on a screen, but it's even more beautiful when something ordinary, through the work of a talented cinematographer, becomes extraordinary.

nevertheless, an amazing and very, very, very impressive piece of filmmaking, i am in no way trying to deny that the filming is beautiful.

bump, because this was unreal. I love areal photography/ film and this was breathtaking

they used the same camera in this (cineflex) and its also sweet + relates to skiing

have you seen planet earth, blueray makes it that much better, if you chose to burn it makes it that much better, no matter how you watch it it hass some of the best cinematography ive ever seen
