anyone else see the rail gap that will wesson did an underslide to a 270 on the second rail in turbo and i think that battleship urban rail was hit by anthony boronowski in happy dayz or some old poor boyz flick maybe it was propaganda

I'm going to get hated on for this, probably, but was anyone else completely underwhelmed and generally not impressed?

They have so much hype, and everyone loves them so much, but I have never been more than mildly entertained by what they do. At least they have fun.

Here's my outlook on Think Thank.  It looks like they have fun, but I really can't enjoy that form of snowboarding.  Where there's shit like That's it That's All, or Double Decade (see Jussi's segment) I can't get stoked on gypsies sliding 10 stair handrails and bouncing around off jam poles.  Sure it's fun, but to me that aspect of snowboarding takes no skill.  Landing 10 different dub corks all different ways in the BC on 100 plus foot jumps that you built by hand, and woke up at 6 am to go get to takes more effort/skill than anything Think Thank crew does.

Its about humble appreciation for the sport. Thats why everyone loves them. Its about doing legit snowboarding moves without having to do 10 double corks. Its the little things that their videos have that set them apart. Not easy to explain, but people who enjoy the "fun" in snowboarding will get it.

Hence why sking can be lame, most skiers dont get the little details that make a trick what it is. NOT just about DOING tricks, BUT HOW they are done.

siiiick teaser, their movie wont disapoint im sure.

really, their jibs are just 2,000,000Xs better... that's about it. skiers on jumps look cooler IMO, same with pow pow. I just love how much more creative these guys are compared to any ski crew... not to say that some don't come close.

I certainly see where you are coming from. I like them as a crew, I don't have any problem with them, and I love that they seem to be out there having loads of fun. I just don't see why everyone gets so hyped about it.

I appreciate how things are done, which is why there are a ton of skiers that everyone seems to love that I could care less about. I really only enjoy watching a handful of skiers. That being said, I can appreciate the little details of the riding, but I can't understand why it's so mindblowing.

A straight stall, 5 feet off the deck and a hat flip? Wow. Not impressed with the mini shred. I think that's ALL that sets them apart, is the funky mini shred. If they did that stuff on legit sized features, it would be a little more impressive to me. I can see a real appreciation of trick, etc, all that in That's It, That's All just as much.

Their previous trailers had soo much energy and complex editing. This one was too bland for me. Im sure the movie will be good tho

not necesarrily how the trailer was put together but more like the shit they do. i think the creativity is really fun to watch. the things that snowboards can do that skis cant make it, IMO, more fun to watch. hate if you want

Think Thank is nothing like Mack Dawg though, they are an AMATUER film company with a bunch of semi-local shreds that produce low budget films that are meant to be netertaining and unique. Not to mention stack footy only cost 15 bucks where double decade and thats it thats all cost 30. They are not trying to compete with the full on pro companies.

hahaha, you're joking right? you must not really snowboard then. doing little stalls and hopping around in a  playground takes no skill compared to just landing switch in pow. even getting the shot is so much damn easier when all you do is go out at 10am down the street to your local park. to think they're even comparable is pretty stupid.

Thanks Brain and Stack Footy were both really good, so i'm sure this'll be good too.
i'm more of a ski porn type guy myself, the interviews/talking etc. just doesn't do it for me so much.

Traveling Circus and the sgements Will Wesson puts together in Meatheads is same attitude and style but way higher skill level. Skiing is way more creative than snowboarding these days

and to the dude who said he doesnt like the talking voice overs, did you notice the title of the video was "cool story"? Clearly thats the feel they were going for in this teaser/vid. it isnt somethign they do in all their vids.

i think you have to snowboard to really get it completely. like i dont, but im basically the only skier in my crew of kids and i know i appreciate it a lot more now. i didnt really realize how hard the shit they are doing was until i rode with snowboarders more.

No... I just said I can't get stoked on people sliding 10 stair handrails (Rail Gardens).  I don't care what trick they're doing on it.  And I know everyone in that movie is talented, but entire segments aren't epic rail tricks.  For every dope rail trick there are a few little tippy, tappy things that Just don't get me as stoked.
