How's the durability of the 1080's

I've been hearing some people say that the 1080's are great and some say that they break really easy. How durable are the edges for sliding? And how do the overall skis hold up?

the top scratches really easily but you don't ski with the top so, I heard if you do rails alot the foam loses its elasticity but that's just what I've heard.

I went through two pair of them, and I didnt even ski them as hard as some of the people in the park. They both delamed, and prior too them delaming the flex got softer every day I rode them. I would not recomend them based on durability, but I would say that they skied well and were good off of jumps and just normal skiing.
I have a theory that all retards have one long tendon that goes from wrist to wrist, so therefore that is why they always are screwin around with one wrist up, and the other one down.

I have heard they less durable than 720's, which is not good. ihave a pair of 720's and so does my friend. We both craked our edges in 2 places all the way through. i have a gap with no edge on both of my skis. one is 8 in long and the other 3 in. i dont trust salomon skis durability anymore. i have heard from a another person that they did the same thing on 1080's

i never broke them, but i skied a pair last spring break and if you went more than like half of your top speed the tips just start to chatter.....so incredibly unstable at high speed....but as far as durability i can't say

ive skied them all this season (prolly round 20 times) and so far no problems
no loss of elasticity, no delaming, no edge problems
the top does scratch pretty easy, but like the other guy said, u dont ski on the top
