Damn. I'm getting these skis, but they are so over hyped. Fucking sick of stupid ass questions like this. They are next year's LINE ski. When do you think they will be coming out?
not going to lie at first i though they were going to suck and didnt want to hit jumps on them but they were suprisingly solid on fairly large mammoth tables not to mention there the best jib/rail ski ive ever ridden
I feel you, but I kind of disagree to a point. Sure all the little immature kids that love to throw their hands behind their back will buy these immediately. But i have to say, the construction of these actually sounds really durable.
Just by seeing how much love they have gotten and no one but line riders have used them, who can't talk shit on the ski they can only say good things about them. I feel like the fact they're called the afterbang is influencing some kids for sure. But the new design i feel like it pulling most of them in, but there are for sure some who are buying it for the name.
Its gotta be the name. Its a wooden ski that is way too flexy. Its rail ski. I really don't see how anyone (barnes cough) could jump on those. It has one purpose.
i sort of agree. i just think that the reason these questions keep coming up is that the new design is so controversial. i for one would like to be %100 sure that these skis were gonna be sick and not break before buying them. you may be right about the name, but personally, i'm just curious as to how they'll perform.
on a side note to anybody that is looking to buy them: wait a year or two until the design is perfected. if you have doubts about the performance, don't buy.
but i had the awesome time to ride a pair last season, and seriously one of the funnest pairs of skis i've ever ridden
although they wouldn't stand up too well on big jumps, from at least what I felt on em, cause they're flexy and poppy and personally wouldn't hold if you happened to lean a little to far forward or back...
but that's just me, if you love jibbing and rails they're an awesome ski personally
