not quite true. a wide angle lens stretches the picture out making it longer from end to end, much like an asian's eyes, but fisheye stretches the picture 360 degrees.
it all depends on what you want to do. helmet cam shots are sick but i feel like they could be kind of limiting. and too many helmet cam shots on park jumps with big spins makes the viewer want to puke and pass out. id personally go with the hd video. you can manipulate the shots for a lot more variety like angles and depths etc.
just my 2 cents. if you can, just sell crack and buy all 3
I think muffins meant a wideangle lens when he said fisheye and btw, a fisheye stretches image to +-180° 360° would be panorama and requires multiple shots/camera angles
Should i go for HD cam or regular cam+ if i do so id like filters n lenses n stuff so wouldnt i be better of with a reflex camera, they make reasonable videos as well, if im not mistaking this ian provo edit was shot with a reflex, not the least of its branche, but maybe all reflexes make kickass movies....
+he has somehow managed to helmet fit it...
Yea, a DSLR isnt cheap, but Its also more pro+ my dad has an old analog reflex so i can still use his lenses and filters so if i would spend bucks on lets say a 600dollar DSLR reflex camera just on the housing, i'd have a semi-professional set-up whilst a recreational decent camcorder would cost just the same, im still not sure where to go with this....
