What do you guys think of mosh pits? I went to a slipknot concert and there were loads of them. Personally I think they're really fun if there is a helpful crowd if you get knocked to the ground or something. Discuss

they are cool if it is a wicked intense concert and everyone is doing it

they are gay when your at a chiller concert and the same gay kids keep trying to make one

eh... they're fun sometimes but it gets annoying when people want to mosh the entire concert. I get sick of fat sweaty kids rubbing up against me.

1. A giant, sweaty, dirty, and dense group of emotionally unstable people who thrash their bodies and limbs around in an aggressive and unpredictable manor. 
2. An unconventional way of expressing emotion with large groups of people to loud noises and flashing lights.

Generally most pit populations are around 65% teenagers, 30% people in their 20's, and 5% pedophiles (35+).

Dude man today I f*cked some shit up in that crazy mosh pit man it was so hXc I broke my own face on the back of some kids head man! YEAH!

circle pits are fun, the back and forth is fun, stage diving is fun, shows are fun....I'm pretty sure a Slipknot pit would be a bunch of dumb fat kids just shoving each other though, and not fun. Crowd surfing with a boogie board is fun.

like someone said, its annoying a small venues. like i saw flogging molly at the chance in poughkipsee and when the kids tried to mosh to it, it was fucking retarded. moshing just to mosh cause there so HXC BRO. just makes the whole place smell like nasty sweat. i guess its cool at a skipknot concert if your into that kind of 'fuck my life my mom made me do the dishes music'.  and there is always a few motherfuckers in there that have to prove thier mascunlinity and beat the shit out of the skinny 'fuck my life my mom made me clean my room' faggits.

I went to a slipknot concert a month ago. It was my first pit concert so I was just trying to not get hit as much as possible. I was at the gate though so I tried pretty hard to not loose my spot.

Streetlight Manifesto/Reel Big Fish concert was absolutely amazing
Big running circle things (circle pit?), good mosh pits, some weirdos, but mostly chill kids. Also crowd surfing was mad fun, some knocked my friends shoe off and threw it at the trombonest but we got it back so it was all good.
