Ok here comes a huge rant, sorry but I have to rant to someone. This is the biggest bullshit I have ever seen. Why the hell would microsoft take this path. Games these days are way to simple and easy as it is, and I only ever play multiplayer or the occasional fps(fallout 3) No one wants another wii, I mean look at what happened there. I may want advancement in the video game industry but there is one thing I do know. That video games are not real life and as there always has been, there should be a controller. I am all for the advancement of graphics but this is just plain stupid.

i watched it live during the briefing and the fist thing i thought of was wii hahah

a lot of people are worried that ms is stepping away from hardcore gamers and trying to reach the casual gamer. i wonder whats going to happen. metal gear solid coming to the 360 is crazy though!

Anwyays, as long as it doesn't take away from the playability of the games, I'm fine with it. I want a game that would be acceptably good without motion sensing ability, and then I want that to be thrown in on top of it.

I heard that they play a video on the monitor and have people act the shit out to make it look like it performs better then it does.

Hope that's untrue cus that shit would be epic. I'd rather spend my cash on a Wii though

i see you're point, but i don't think that they're just going to drop everything else they have and just go in this direction. in my opinion it's just going to be for certain games.. sort of like the eye toy or whatever. i don't think they would ever be dumb enough to make every one of their games run off of this.

they'd prolly take this path because Wii fit has been the number 1 selling console game in the world since it came out.

Not sure if it still is, but it was for quite some time.

I'd imagine they want to get some of that market share, and in typical MS fashion they are jumping on someone elses idea instead of coming up with their own shit.

dude, you're not gonna be playing halo or cod with it. I see it as mostly an add on to the xbox with new games designed just for it similar to the wii. You will probably still have the same kinda normal games with controllers, but then also these new innovative games with motion sensing.

The one thing I hate about new video games is how now everyone is so focused on graphics and looking cool when its the gameplay that matters the most. Almost every game that comes out is the same stuff you've been playing for 10 years with better graphics. Give me something new and innovative.

One word: VAPORWARE. No way was any of that real, as someone said people were most likely acting it out. I will probably never come out. Take the skate game for example, never once did you see the kids feet. Not to mention it looks incredibly gay and IMO a step backwards from real gaming.

Do you honestly believe that Microsoft is seriously going to drop all their insane games that you can play on a 360 to replace it with this shit? No way! This is prolly going to be some add on you can buy and play certain games. It looks like it is going to be a type of wii "add on" for the 360 that is appealing to sort of the family type of games.

No way in hell is this going to be the only shit you can do on the 360...please use common sense next time.

i have that netflix movie option and it is such a bitch scrolling through 60 movies with a controller, imagine individually scrolling through them with your arm? I would be so pissed after a long day of work or hitting the gym. The games will absolutely suck, like honestly how bad did that racecar game look lol. What a retarded route to take...I think wii should have this technology, because wii is its own thing, not Xbox....How the fuck can I play COD on this shit.

That video was just a projection of what could be done. Theres no way they have the technology to do that sh*t yet... I mean, at the very least youd have to be wearing some sort of motion-sensing device all over your body for it to be able to recognize the things you do.

honestly, nintendo completely blew off a potential market of the halo-ers (mature gamers) when they released a family system (the most fun you can have on a wii is smash bros...)  and sony shot for the elitist, blue ray sniffing, rich snobs.

but the 360 fell right in the middle.  why the heck would they change that strategy?

yes. I'm also calling shenanigans on this one. As much as I would like to see this happen, I know it won't. Not to mention a whole set up like that would probably cost around $1000 once it hits the market. Microsoft wouldn't make enough money off of it and would not be a step in the right direction.
