Help me Ns with summer setup

Alright so I am trying to convince my dad to let me get a pair of used skis for like $50 for summer skiing.  He wasn't real into the idea of summer skiing cuz it would ruin my skis but if i get a crap pair he would let me.  We are making a setup for winter up north and we have these huge hills.  What can i use as turf or something that would stay on a hill.  Dad wouldn't want me to spend more money for turf and crap.  So.... something like a tarp of something I might have around somewhere that I could use for turf on a hill?

Inside/Oustide carpeting turf is .22$ a sq foot, not that expensive.

yeah turf works the best but orange construction fence is probably the next best thing

its .49 cents or .69 cents/sq.ft. at my home depot so its not that bad
the more expensive kind has a harder base but the same shit bassically

Lowes is the best you can buy all the supplies needed. 2x4s and plywood are the cheapest
