So am I, there are versions for both. I just set up pokemon on mine.

Haven't had any problems yet so I assume it works fine(I AM on a 2nd gen touch). The redsn0w jailbreak is the only one I know of for 2g touches as of yet.

pwnage is correct.but i need the IPSW bull shit.
the firmware on mine is 2.2 already, and when in PWNAGE, u have to find tthe IPSW

Download QuickPWN, then scroll down and you'll find the 2.2.1 firmware (IPSW) download for the iPod Touch 2G.

when i dl QKPWN for my ipod, i plug the touch in, and when it says "select the device" i cnat push anything...????

Use the damn jailbreak I linked to, it works, its easy, and as far as I know its the only one working with the 2nd gen itouch. Quickpwn will NOT work, not matter how hard you try. If you use redsn0w you will not need the IPSW file.
