PEABODY - You’ve probably seen the commercials advertising tasty hamburgers and mouth watering milkshakes at Sonic and wished there was one close by. Well, you’re in luck. At Thursday’s City Council meeting, Lynnfield company JAM, LLC proposed opening the drive-in hamburger chain at 55 Newbury St., with hours of 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. Until now, the closest Sonic has been in New Jersey - much too far for a late night hamburger run. “It’s kind of a retro-style restaurant with service at the parking spaces and a window.” Conn said while there will not be any interior seating in the restaurant, there will be a patio with room for 50 during the warmer months and 41 parking spaces.
