o god ideas like this really confuse me
on one hand i think what an awesome idea and it has barely even scraped its potential. technology is just so impressive these days
but on the other hand, which i more strongly favor, i believe that technology is destroying the world. while communication technology has truly brought the world closer making it easier to communicate i believe it actually pushes humans apart. think about texting, yes it is nice alot of the times but you cant convey any real emotions through it. back in the day before even phones were invented people had much closer personal lives, just with fewer people. is that so bad. the internet with its thousands of anonymous forums(yes including newschoolers but worst of all /b/) provides such anonomynouty that people are now allowed to get away with having rediculous oppinions or ideas that just strait up wouldnt be tolerated in real life. i am afraid that as technologoy makes its leap into the next generation we will truly lose sight of what it means to be human. in fact im afraid the process is already too far started to stop it, think about how much we already depend on technology. the future will be a very sad place if this is the direction we continue to go.
and one last thing that makes me upset is the amount of research and funding that goes into pushing our already rediculous technology even further while we leave so much of the world hungry and poor. its sad to think that some people believe they need this bad ass technology to run their life without even realizing that there are some people who have no food, shelter, or even a shirt on their back.
i think its worth saying again but the future will be a very sad place
