That 'snow clones' edit is sick but to be honest. I rated it down cus i dont think it should be ahead of the shane's and travis's top rated edits. RIP

the site is named newschoolers.com, it is largely skiing, but no where does it say we don't welcome boarders.

I personally think NS's community would be 3 times as large if they marketed more to boarders, and it would bring in more $$ for the company as well.

Anyone who hates on boarding is ignant.

no body can talk down to the type of editing, skill, and just overall sick shots in those two videos. they deserve to be up there,   that should be a drive for the skiing community to step up their game a little bit

i love how he takes an effect that is fairly simple normally and takes it to crazy levels.
i also find boarding edits alot sicker to watch in general, and yeah i do both but normally ski, i dont get the ski vs boarder hate.

Haha yeah this site is so funny. By this logic the rednecks who think black people are inferior are rad. But hey, Tom Wallisch says it, so it must make sense.

And for a real post on this topic, I loved the knife show edit. Snowboarding edits are always so well done it seems. They are more interesting to watch.

But as for attracting more snowboarders, I'd have to disagree. Right now I have no problem at all with NS's resident snowboarders, but if they became near as common as skiing NS'ers I think that NS would lose a lot of appeal to people. I respect snowboarders and like to see them shred, but skiing is my passion, not shredding on a board. I like being surrounded by people that are also passionate about skiing. And the minority knuckle-draggers on here obviously have no beef with skiing and share a passion for the mountains, so they're cool. But I wouldn't want to see a much larger percentage of boarders on here just to increase income. That's not what NS is about to me.

i disagree with this.  nothing against snowboarding, my best friend snowboards, but NS would really lose a lot if it became overrun with them.  One thing that makes skiing so amazing is that we're all more tight knit.  There is so much fewer of us, and we all really get to know each other a lot more. 

Snowboarding attracts such a large crowd.  Every other kid is out there trying it.  Nobody but small groups know each other and its all very impersonal.  With skiing almost everybody within a certain region or area knows each other cuz its almost rare to see another skier throwing down. 

Being 3 times as large would be a major disadvantage to us and it would ultimately change the entire face and structure of newschoolers.  Keep it to skiers.  If a snowboarder would like to be a part of our community, they are more than welcome.  I would just like to keep this as skier dominant as it can be.

I think its simply evidence of how people are getting bored of crappy unoriginal 4bi9 gangsta edits and sh*t like that. Practically every edit i see on NS is the same bar a few exceptions. B.I.G. or Lil Wayne with a bunch of guys doing pretzels and afterbanging. Sure its dope and stuff but it gets boring after a while.
The snowboard edits are creative and interesting. They mix up the vibes and make it more fun to watch.

I cant wait for this gangsta phase to be over.

Your been here less than a year, your opinion is irrelevant. If you knew your history of this site snowboarders have been here forever and there used to be a section in the profiles for snowboarding.
