Broken pinky finger

i jammed my left pinky finger and it hasnt gotten better and is def broken, im goen to the ortho tomorrow, will they put a hard cast on it? or just a little splint, i really dont need a hard cast right now, anyone know? thanks

Why not just wait and see?

No hate but how is knowing before-hand actually useful to you? Why not just wait for the surprise? Just remember to tell the doc it hurts real bad so you get good meds.

they wont put a caste on maybe a splint but its only your pinky i broke my thumb in 3 spots and they only put a little splint on

yea ha, really (thread creator) dont be pussy, i broke my pinky buy running into a corner and i never got that shit checked out, now it sticks out at a 20 degree angle from my ring finger, permanently, i cant even use it to type but im still gonna call you a pussy

I reread this thread again and seriously a hardcast for a jammed pinky? Are you kidding me? I'm pretty sure they only cast pinkies if it is bent at a complete 90 degree angle.

i broke my pinky finger during football... did nothing but tape it its got a little messed up knuckle but not to bad.... i dont think the ortho will do much

tough it out. a couple weeks ago i broke the bone in my hand right below my pinky. i didn't get it checked out cause it happened while i was drunk and i didn't want to show my parents. it barely hurts now. just tape it for a week and then you will barely notice it anymore. much less expensive than going to an ortho.
