Rolling your own cigs

So in my effort to slow down my smoking habit i have decided to start rolling my own. Anyway i was just wondering if anyone knows anything about it. Like where to get the shit, different kinds of rollers, good tobacco products, web sites, or anything thing like that

the cigs you roll are much worse for you because there is no filter. however you may loose a few chemicals that normal packs have.
but you can buy them at any gas station that sells normal cigarettes. my buddy smokes buglers. i dont know if there any good cuz i dont smoke but there you go

sorry i didn't clarify but i was looking for a roller that you can use filters in. i know they sell like empty cig tubes and you have to get like a compressor or something im not real sure

i watched one of mu buddies roll a bugler and he just stuffed some tobacco on the paper and rolled that shit up. sketchy lookin thing, but there wasnt anything special about it.

bali shag or drum. dont buy a roller, your fingers will work better. you can buy filters in packs of 100 for less then a dollar. it will save you some money too since you can get alot more out of a pouch then you can a pack of normal smokes.

Drum is good, and roll them by hand, drum comes with 50 papers already so just have it on you and learn to roll amazing bogies and joints

Drum made my tongue go numb like halfway through the smoke ... not that it stopped me, but just a head's up. In Canada they have this organic tobacco, no less cancerous, but slightly less toxic than Drum etc... I wish I could remember the name but any speciality tobacco shop will have them. I found that rolling my own was a very calming experience and I never had any luck with rollers. Just good old fashioned joint rolling practise. Good luck with having it curb your habit, it did absolutely nothing for mine.

are you talking about american spirit? its organic and i know you can buy it in hand rolling form. and i would guess that the drum made your tounge numb because some of the tobacco was pulled through and got on your tounge. that happens to me when i get to the bottom of a bag

don't get a rolling machine, you look like a tool. I don't even smoke and I can roll a legit cig.

stick the box of papers inside your pouch and tip the filters in with the tobacco and then chuck the whole lot in your pocket and you're good to go.

take out a paper, put a filter between your lips (don't get it too wet though) pull out some tobacco and place it on the crease of the paper. fold the paper in half, hold with both hands and slide the sides of the paper up and down (kinda hard to explain) then open the paper up again, push the tobacco down with the filter and then roll around the filter, lick the glue part and seal it up. done.

it doesn't take long to learn, and papers and filters are really cheap so you can just sit at home and practise

Yes! That's the one. It had a really nice taste.

And that could have been the reason my tongue would go numb, though I usually rolled with some sort of filter. Perhaps the pieces were minuscule... either way drum was not a favourite.

Buglers and Drum are good as far as rollys go.. try to avoid Mclintocks and Tops cuz they are just not worth putting in your lungs. if your trying to ball out drop like 8 bucks and get a sack of american spirit rollys, theyre organic with no additives or preservatives but they smoke the same as the rest. so idk just fuck it and just smoke weed

Bali Shag is decent. I would recommend going to your local smoke shop and seeing if they have any house blends; those are usually the best. I always liked rolling with Rizzla papers too.

these people dont know what your takling about.... you buy the tubes and get a rolling machine that you pop the tubes in then put in the tobacco, machine packs the tobacco into the , and you def dont buy drum for that you get like normal cigarette tobacco (like players) here in canada it comes in big plastic containers

I know what your talking about here, i think zig zag makes them, and if you wanted to start rolling to slow down your daily cig habit then this thing is NOT going to help you. It takes maybe 10 seconds to make a cigg with the lil machine and empty cigg tubes, you could prolly crank out a pack with this thing in 5 minutes or less.

If you really want to slow down your habit start hand-rolling tobaco. I smoked a lot less when i was hand rolling, and hand rolling is a lot of fun and sort of mediative. If you do decide to hand roll i would go to your local cigar/tobacco specialty store and get some good tobaco that tastes good. Also for paper, after trying many different types my personal favorite was always Mascotte, the green pack with tapered edges.

buy a drum of drum, fuck that pussy bag shit.  or if you wanna be super-baller bum steeze rock the bali shags, that is some damn fine tobacco right there.  And seriouslly, learn how to roll.  It's not that hard and you obviously have time to spare if your lurking on ns.  just don't lurk one night and camp out at the kitchen table and teach yo ass how to roll some tight cigs.

just roll wit yo fingers man. takes a lil practice to master, but once you've got it down you can do it aanywhere.

and buying tobaccy instead of straights saves you so much money (well it does here, at least, wit hthe pricing)

the only way its going to slow down your smoking is if you have to roll one every time you want a cig. If you sit at your roller and roll 25 at a time, its kind of self defeating.

yeah i can roll just fine without it but when im really drunk or just dont feel like fumbling around with shitty buglar papers i just use the roller and it comes out perfect everytime, and im not really concerned about "looking like a tool" in my own house so yeah...

A roller is just a waste of money. It's so easy  to roll them yourself, I also find it rather satisfying.
Drum and Bali Shag are delicious, but argh. Shit, where I'm from Drum used to be only $5.50, but in the past couple months it's gone up to $11something.

I need to quit...

i just started smoking like a moth ago, and i gota say i like reg cigs a little more, but when you can get a pouch of bugler for half the price of a pack of cigs (and get a lot more smokes outa it too) it makes sense, and it does feel good when you roll a good one, cause your smokin it thinkin, 'Damn i did this one good...  aahhhhh.'

haha word, i dont really smoke much but i roll a lot for friends and stuff, but i agree rolling a really nice one is awesome. but...even if its with those little rollers it still feels good making a really realllllllly nice one even if you cheated a lil.

Bugler is basically your staple tobacco.  Cheap and tasty.  You might prefer Drum, but its slightly more expensive.  Don't use those rollers.  They won't enhance your rolling ability, and after a while you will be able to roll better and quicker smokes just by hand.

Rollies are awesome for a couple years but once you go back to packs you'll never roll again.

If you want to get legit tobacco get American Spirit.  Awesome rolling tobacco, but its organic so it dries out really fast.
