Help out my friend in a contest sway?

I got a friend whose getting close to trying to live his dream with acting. He's trying to get to broadway some day. He's been admitted into a local contest that, if won, could act as a nice catalyst to get him to reach his dream. He's already in second place but down by quite a few votes.
