my 5th pair of ipod earbuds broke today and im tired of spending 30 bucks for them. i have a pair of skullcandy smokin buds but the sound quality is brutal, it sounds incredibly tinny and there's no bass and they stick out from my ear so when i have my helmet flaps over them it jams them into my ears. i'm willing to spend some money (nothing ridiculous) for good earbuds but they need to have good sound quality and not stick out a lot from your ears
iPod earbuds suck nuts, no offense to Apple. I personally like the Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds. They dont stick out and kill your ears with a helmet, they go as loud as anyone could want especially for how small they are
they are $15...
any sounds professional will tell you to spend close to $100, for a low to mid quality product.
with that in mind, you will get what you pay for.
also, i am not at all stoked on my smokin buds. just get some higher end skullcandys off whiskey, or spend at little more money.
so i have a similar problem, iv gone through four pairs of skullcandy smokin buds, all of them became staticy and eventually stopped working. im not entirely brutal with my headphones, dont even wrap them around my ipod. i need a good pair of earbuds, in a mid price rnge, if anyone has something that they are really satisfied.stoked on some help would be awsome.
FMJ's are good, you can find them on Whiskey for $30. But I don't know if its just me, but mine freak out sometimes, if I'm doing physical stuff like digging or biking, they will pause and play or skip to the next song, even with the hold button on.
FMJ's break within a couple months usually and their sound quality is mediocre. my brother had a pair that he got for christmas last year and by march they were broken, and he took great care of them, only used them in the car and never exposed them to extreme temps, dropped them, stored them all crumpled up, or anything that would hamper them beyond daily use.
