While digging through my dads old records i came across "Dark side of the moon". I put it in and listened too it five times each time i phased outt soo hard. Your thoughts on the album or band in general?

big fan of dark side. the rest of their catalogue, not so much. i find it kind of drone-y and boring

i dont want to offend anybody but i  think people nowadays are way to impatient to listen to music like pink floyd and other good old songs. the music now is all about crazy beats and noises to keep your attention. the lyrics of most of the songs are horrible but nobody even notices. Bands like Floyd had meaning behind their lyrics.

i know what you mean.  people have the musical attention span of a goldfish these days.  it isnt the length of pf's songs that i dont like.  i just dont generally care for the actual music.  it doesnt really do that much for me.  give me a 50 minute beethoven symphony and i have no problem sitting down and listening to it.  or a 35 mintue dark star.  i just think a lot of floyd's material is boring.

i hear ya man you gotta be able to relate to shit in the music ya hear. i wasnt trying to target you thought, i was more or less talking about our generaion nowadays.
