certainly.
but seriously, backies. It most natural as you take off a jump, You don;t have to rotate as far if you get me, frontflips mean you have to counter the action of the jump kicking you up, and then pull off the flip, backs, you just carry the motion through.
What about fronting a cliff? A cliffs edge usually turns down a little, like a reverse jump, so fronting a cliff might work pretty natrual too
idk man, backflips scare me
at ramp camp they wouldnt let my try a rodeo until i could do both backflips fronts and 7s
yeah, plus if its your first time you have a 90% chance of underotating, so eating shit would be alot better on a frontflip.
I dont know their just way easier
mine was back
than rodeo/flat say what u want but im yet to land rodeo/flat but backs are scarier aproching the jump but way way way easier
back is easier but need more nuts
front is harder but doesnt need nuts
Alright, Im gonna session the tramp tommarrow and play around with what you guys said
And btw a ganger is when you ride, spin 90, then lincoln loop 90 to forward ride. Probably HARD on skis but easy shit into water/trampolines
I'd say back. It is most natural on a jump and you can see the landing. Just practice a lot on a trampoline and when doing a back is like breathing, do it on a jump but do it like on the trampoline. The first time, you sometime lean back too fast so you hit your head or you don't have enough height. I want to try them out.
For a front, its easier on a cliff.
Your 100% right, I need to just do it
Flips are one of the few cases where its better to act without thought than actually consider the outcomes
Depends on what jump you have to work with. If you can find a poppy jump with a ten/ fifteen foot table and a soft landing then throw the backie.
If you find a nice spin with a soft landing then go with the front flip. I know someone who learned frontlflips off a steep roller by putting down both hands (no poles) and flipping over them until he could do it without putting his hands down.
Regardless of what you do, you should be super careful about it, because any flip could fuck you up a lot more than a regular spin. But if your feeling the trick, its within your level, and the snow/jump is good then go for it and good luck.
