has anyone herd of the new Alpine and homewood combo pass? is it really goin down or is it still just talk??

It's happened. Started last year and this year every pass worked at both. However JMA has jacked prices up and it's not worth ti anymore. Both mountains have lost their homely feeling and are now going for the rich bay area family feeling.
