I just recently got tired of listening to my stock speakers and needed a CD player and iPod hook up. So I went bought a Pioneer deck and some front speakers for the car and installed it myself. The guy I talked to at radioshack told me that I should get the fit kit but didn't really need it so I figured I save 10 bucks and just hook it all up with butt connectors. I got it all together and it sounds good, got the right speakers connected to the right outputs and all but I have no memory in the deck. I can set the time do all the audio settings but then I turn off the car and they all dissappear. So I was wondering what I can do to fix this.
One potential solution I thought of was to go to the junk yard and swipe the stock connecter out of the same model Legacy as mine and hook that up and then plug the fit kit into that. Would this solve my problem?
The other question I have is what are some good 6.5 inch speakers to put in front and then I'll put the other cheaper onesI already have in the back. I will probably buy them from ikesound.com as they seem to have some pretty legit pricing. I don't want to spend too much between 50 - 70
