So how many people are gonna ride the afterbangs next year?

So I have a feeling that everyone is going to be rockin the afterbangs out on the slopes next year.    Only $350 for this sick park ski.   Just want to see how many people on ns are going to get them. Just post if you are going to get them.
(I'm getting them by the way)

word on the street is that they're a bit questionable on jumps because they're so soft and with their weird flex patterns and all of those weird things that make all of you guys want to buy them.

well, it seems like they started to test them right after the reactors started to fail, so they probably decided to do a bit more extensive testing to make sure that this product would work well.  I think they created a great idea and it sounds like they have built a very reliable ski.  We'll just have to see for our selves next year.

they're available here in australia. they look mad coz of their new construction. my friend bought them last week and he skis on them for the first time in about a couple of weeks. keen to know how they go

They look pretty baller, but I'm in no need of new skis. I'm planning on seeing how people react to the first run of them, and maybe if I'm in the market for a new pair eventually I will consider them.

wow, i actually agree with you on this one. if you land correctly, it doesn't matter if you're on noodles or stiff as fuck skis. but soft skis are just plain and simple more fun to ski on. so if you're gonna land your tricks, might as well be on some soft planks

Heavy, damp, and too soft for me. The new flex profile with the ski flexing in front of the toe and heel piece is nice though.

not anymore...they were much smaller before K2 bought them.

i am weary about the skis ability to withstand abuse because the last price point park ski that was the NEXT BIG THING was one of the most epic fails in the ski industry...the INVADERRRR. (OG)

anyone else remember the hype around the invader?? very simlar to that of the afterbang...been testing for years...innovative...and at a questionably low price...

the graphics are printed on the top wood layer, which is laminated in a lacquer or epoxy or something

I'll be honest, the whole concept of a skateboard construction scares me a little, because i have destroyed a lot of skateboards. Also, i've heard that the flex pattern is questionable aswell.

So i'll probably wait until everyone on here's had a good go on them, and i'm sure a consensus will emerge.

gtfo.   Seriously.  What's "not that great" about old school skateboard graphics?  The santa cruz line is dope and regardless if the tech. works on the 'bangs, the graphic is unique.  There isn't any chance in hell that I could warranty octolands and get afterbangs, is there?

Wait no 181 chronic next year? Damn. Even though 4cm's isn't THAT much, still. I still don't understand why some companies don't make park skis that are 185 or bigger. It's cool moment is doing that with the jibs cause consumers simply asked.
