Skiing was great! looked like an awesome time!

the editing was ok.

Try to make it flow with the song more, pick a song that you could picture skiing to, something with a good beat to follow.

I don't really think the beginning was over edited, but I would have rather had seen you use that beginning to introduce the skiers, or make it more of an introduction to your edit. Its just like making sure you give a good first impression.

Considering this is your first edit its not expected that you will make a great edit either, so nothing to worry about. Trust me, editing and filming gets alot better over time.
What software are you using?

thanks for the input +karma. I only had windows movie maker to use, and i did feel limited with some of the effects as to what i could do that would look good, like i couldnt adjust the time of the effects, expecially the slow motion is only half, or half again, no choices. not a fan, ill get a better editing program for next year
