who's goin to hood this summer and when.

i'm trying to get out there for a couple weeks, it doesn't matter when. allen wants to go round the middle of july. it sounds like torvenin's trying to get out there for a while too. marky what'r you doing?

anyone else going post up here if they wanna carpool to keep it cheap.

I am thinking about going out maybe early august to shoot with a few peoples but it will depend on who is there and what kind of funds I have. got my fingers crossed!

last year i went out there for a week (2 days driving 5 skiing) with three other guys. with gas, food, and lift tickets it was about $550. if you have the extra money i guarantee that's the best $550 you can ever spend.

shit dude that's awesome, i want to head out there for a week in late june/early july and i was planning on spending like $1000 or something

of course i havent planned anything out yet so that was just a guess, and i think we're gonna get a motel or something between a few people, were you guys camping?

me and my friend were looking online and we found some pretty nice little places to split between 3 or 4 people

the best i looked at was at timberline lodge which is on the mountain like 5 minutes from the lifts, they have these bunk rooms that were like 115 a night for 4 people i think

If your trying to save money, dont stay in a hotel.  Just grab a tent and camp it.  The entire area is national forest so it's campable. 

I'll be up there whatever week/weekend i can get off of work.  probably a couple times.  It's only like a 10 hour drive so should be sick.  If you didn't want to pay lift tickets, is it hikeable up to the public park?

haha fuck that theres like bears in the woods, maybe a combo of camping and hotels? whatever either way as long as i get to ski

but yeah, its definately hikeable to the public park, but it depends when you go

in early June it would probably be like a 30 minute hike maybe, then it would get longer and longer as the weeks pass by

ive heard that ski patrol checks the hikers sometimes? idk id check their regionals first before doin that

def do some camping, ive slept in the woods next to the parking lot , not so bad but there is a sick camp site straight down the road, and i wouldn't hike the hill, long way, and get kicked out that would just be retarded

well i'm a snowboarder, and very interested in making a trip to hood pretty much any time this summer from july to august. so if anyone wants/needs an extra person to come with them to help cover gas or other expenses, let me know and i would greatly appreciate it.

here's my final plan. i'm driving out july 12th, skiing the 14th to 23rd, start driving back the afternoon of the 23rd and get back friday the 24th. i'm either taking my car or my dad's old van depending on how many people want to go. pm me or post here if you want to come.

Flew into Portland yesterday!
Claim here but I totally saw Sean Decker in the airport (i think..)  I dont really know most skiers faces, but he had on solid K2 clothing and a Dew Tour backpack.  He said he skied and then I had to leave..

hey just wanted to post that I will be going out at roughly the same time but will be making a much shorter trip.  I am going to leave the 17th-18thish (not firmed on details yet) and be back the 24th.  I need at least one more but hopefully two drivers to come with to help us make the trip faster.  I will be camping there as well.  let me know if you would be down.  Since I am going regardless of whether or not we get more drivers, we can work something out where you wouldnt have to pay your full share of gas or something so if your looking to go for super cheap let me know.
