Same exact problem on my Candides and they said they couldn't do anything. I bought PEs for real cheap and haven't regretted a thing. I loved my Candides though, a great ski.

t really doesnt effect anything until part of the edge rips out, it its just a crack then its not a big deal, there is absolutely no way any company is gonna warrenty that but the good news is that u now have some jib skis

you don't have to throw the ski away. Most shops can put an entire new edge on for around $40. My buddy ripped a section of edge off of his candides at Steamboat and they fixed it in a day. Check it out, it is entirely possible to fix.

the only problem with fixing it, is that it wont be nearly as strong as the original edge, so its kinda a waste of money, cause after a week of jibbing on the new edge that one will break or rip out, as for a strong new ski, i hear that the 4 frnt warrenty is really good for edges and rails ,also the new k2s have bigger, stronger edges

that happened to my candide's 3 times, i just neglected to mention that it happened on rails, so they sent them back and dynastar replaced the broken ski with another used candide. they gave me new bindings too the first time, they said it was a 'service upgrade' or somehting.

I doubt you'll be able to get a warranty on a 2 year old ski either... But if you like Candides, pick up another pair on ebay for under $200.

any if your edge ever rips out fully. under the boot. take you skis to your shop. get them to cut out the edges on both side of your skis under your boot. srew the remaining edge back intot he ski and epoxy where the edge was suppose to be so its all level, then they are really good jib skis. you never hafta worry about catching an edge or anything. I did that to mine a year ago and I can still do rails, jumps, and pipe on slushy conditions. its all good

Whats all this talk about 'reinforced edges'? I made a pair of skis, they are the best. You know why they are the best? Because I crafted them out of one complete piece of metal. It slides pretty well, just put some teflon on the bottom and it flies like a butterfly.
