For history I am writing a paper on the 10th Mountain Division's impact on the ski industry and it's absolutely amazing.  The amount that they did for the ski industry is astonishing.  I will put my paper uo sometime tomorrow.  I really enjoyed writing this essay and think that we should all take time to thank people like Friedl Pfeifer, the man who turned Aspen into what it is today.

So yeah, that's my thread, hope you like it and hope that you'll like the essay when I put it up.

Yea dude can't wait to read it.  I wrote a paper on that once really cool stuff.  My grandfather was a part of it and went to Italy during WWII.

it's pretty good, i think that u couldn't shortened down the list of ski resorts a bit though...like instead, just say 3 or 4, and then say someting like , "and many other great resorts"...or something. And also, I'm reading this while trying to write anther paper haha, so don't listen to what I'm saying. but other than that, I love it!

It was pretty good. I spotted the odd grammar mistake, but they were small... I wonder if your teacher will find them.

that and it felt rushed. if it was longer I think it would have been better, but maybe it had to be under x amount of words?

either way, good stuff

Being a 17 year old youth, my roots stretch back to the influences of the up and coming pro-free skiers, the ones who began our sport like tanner. The generations of people that created skiing into what it is today is always a good topic because its easy for people to get distracted from the original roots. I always enjoy reading back on early die hards that put there hands in it as well. Much respect to all those people.
Sounds really interesting to hear how this impacted skiing, dope man hit me a message when that is up, im not usually on NS anymore but that sounds cool.

Great read.  A lot of beers have gone bye bye over the years discussing this very thing.  Your paper was great, I only wish you'd thrown your post up before you started.  I might have been able to help.  My mom works at the Colorado Ski Museum and her best friend runs it.  Paper's great anyway, but if anyone else is doing something similar feel free to pm me.

ok guys dont hate on me for this, im just wondering.

me and my crew cant think of a name, and I was thinking it might be cool to name it like "The 11th Mountain Division" or "The New Mountain Division" as like a tribute to show how much they changed the sport and how we'd like to change it (although we arent that sick)

just kinda throwin it out there seeing what you guys think, dont hate, just give me an honest answer.

I think you and your crew should just roll with a name that you guys all like. Bands don't put out surveys for people to vote for which name they should pick. They just pick one they like, and rep it. Do the same.
