Backyard setup

Yo i got a backyard summer turf drop-in and it works pretty good but at some times it just doesn't seem to go as fast as i would like it to go... any tips on how to help the situation, soaps? materials? whatever.... please help out

right now im just usin dishwasher soap and it kinda just dies away after a few hits.... laudrey detergant is better?

that dropin looks sick, but maybe make it a bit steeper. that would help alot.

I just finished mine, it works perfect, speed is top, its 140cm and goes well, to be sure i put it on top of a dirtpile so actual drop is about 2m (6feet?)

and i just use water, lots and soap, i also found that sideslipping down your slope first helps, it flattens/compresses the fibres

ya make it a bit steeper. the flat section is pretty long so youll need extra speed

changing the steepness of the slope isnt really an option anymore so any other thoughts

make starting grabs so you can push yourself down the platform, just like in waterslides or regular slides you can give yourselve quite a momentum, so that way i'd say you can gain the speed by wich you push off, the speedgain on the down slope remains the same, so basically its just win when you make it like that.....

If there is an ice hockey rink nearby you can always use ice shavings from the rink which is much faster than soap/detergent. 

I had the same problem with my drop in after we built it... tranny was too long and drop in was not steep enough.  We ended up shortening the tranny and making the drop in a bit steeper. 

But overall, if the ice rink option is available I'd take advantage of the ice shavings/ "snow".
