I hiked a mountain, not just any mountain, the highest one in the state. I havent shaven all weekend, and was drinking pbr and eatting beef jerky the entire way up.

camel's hump or Mansfield? Lol, so weak, the mountain I ski at in NH is a few hundred feet shorter than Mansfield. The White Mountains are a lot bigger than the Greens, so strange. YOu want to talk manly, last week, I cut a 6 foot section of an oak tree into quarters. It was like, 3 feet wide. I did it with 2 axes, a sledgehammer, and a wedge. One of the hardest things I've done in my life, but I felt like a beast.

congrates man. this weekend i am planing on climbing mount washington in vermont. its supposed to be the highest mountain on the east coast. i'm totally stoked.

I suggest you find out where it is first.  It's a tall mountain, but not tall enough that you'll magically find it if you're in the wrong state.

Mount Washington is in New Hampshire dude, get your states right. Washington is over 2000 feet taller than mansfield. And to the kid who asked why I cut the tree, I am making a longbow, so i need some wooden staves to shape the bow out of. The tree was already felled, so I took advantage of it. I don't want to pay 60-250 bucks for a stave of wood.

You try using a chainsaw to cut a 3foot wide, 6 foot tall section of hard wood. I don't own a plane, so I had to use the tools in my garage. Bow makers do the same shit because you need it to split naturally down the rings. A chainsaw would cut through the rings and weaken the internal structure of the bow. When you go to pull the string back it would probably snap in half.

you can actually see Mt. Washington from some of the higher points in VT, ME, and MA. When I hiked Washington earlier this year, I saw Camel's Hump in VT, it was incredible.

haha no, I wish, it's a pretty cool process but it takes years to master. I'm blundering through it though because I've wanted a bow for a while, but a good longbow, handmade, costs anywhere from 150-600 dollars. I have spent the last few months reading anything I can get my hands on about bow making, so I have become a bit knowledgeable. My friend came up with the idea of laying the chainsaw flat and pushing the trunk on its side into the saw, but I had no idea how to get a 150 plus pound tree to move through a small chainsaw.

double fail. Its in New Hampshire not Vermont. and also Mount Mitchell in North Carolina is the highest peak east of the Mississippi. I hate when people think it is Mt. Washington.

hahaha, i corrected myself like right after i posted and like 6 peaople decided to correct me. i know its New Hampshire, i was just not really thinking when i wrote it. Also i just heard from the people i was going with that mt washington was the tallest. mabye its just the tallest in new england? idk
