Coming to Vancouver

Hello !

Im a french student and I am going to come in Vancouver during 8 weeks from end of May to end of July.
I would like to have information about how to ski during this period - I read on the internet that its possible to ski in Whistler -, and I would like to know if there is shuttles, trains or any way of transports except my foot to go to the resort from Vancouver.

Moreover, I would like to know if you know how much does the taxes to bring my skis to Canada in the plane, and if there is possibility to buy skis for less than 200$ in Vancouver (I could bring my bindings) and ski suit.

Furthermore, do some of you know youth hostel or things like that where I could lodge myself ?
Or if someone is looking for flat-mate or house-mate (against money for sure), feel free to propose me.

I am also looking for any informations which could help me for this travel :)

greyhound takes just under 2 hours to get to whistler from Van.

Unless you're going to a camp you'll be pretty disappointed with what's there. Public line was actually much better last year than I've ever seen before but nonetheless it's not really worth the trip and money.

Whistler mountain will be open till mid June then it will just be the Blackcomb glacier till mid July.

I don't know much about tall tees but my friends got some nice ones at Foot Locker.
as for skis, check out comor sports or snowcovers in vancouver and the local shops in whistler like McCoos etc.
