Obama Booed at Notre Dame

Did anyone else hear/see this on the news?
Obama gave the commencement speech at Notre Dame today and was actually booed while giving his speech. Not just by a few people, but like a lot, enough that he could not speak over them. He just let them boo and stood there till they were done. sorry i dont have any videos right now, there will be some later if anyone finds.

Now whether your a republican or a democrat, thats just fucked up. Hes our nations president. And the main reasons they were booing is because of his ideas for abortion and stem cell research. who the fuck cares? your kid just graduated college, what the fuck does it matter if the man giving a speech on one of the greatest days in your life (as a parent) has different religious views than you? plus, hes the one running this shit.

Yeah like ^ says, Obama can't "pass" laws. He can push for them, but pretty much all he can do is sign bills into law.

Either way, wasn't that whole thing based off a 2006 audio clip that gave supposedly suggested that Obama had called for a "national civilian security force?" When I read a couple articles, it sounded more to me like mandatory community service, not military service. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Not that I have heard about...  But it would probably be good because a shit load of kids these days don't have the slightest bit of respect and they just dick around and act like little princesses. There are several European countries that have mandatory 1 year military, and it does help with a few discipline issues. I wouldn't mind doing a year of service if everyone else also had to. If it did happen, there's no way in hell all of it would be "military" service, more of a community service type thing with a little bit of gun training here and there.

I think its any kind of public service including peace corp americorp or military etc. in exchange for a tax credit for college. But lets not get carried away, its not even a bill yet, just an idea he was talking about on the campaign.

To the kid who bumped it. I agree. His speech at Arizona State was just shit. He attacked individualism, people's sucess, the desire to be successful, the american dream. He attacked anything those graduates were looking to do with their new education... Go out, work hard, earn money, be successful. Oh, but he says, work for non profits. Its dispicable. No one booed because he did no get an honorary degree. This was the case at Notre Dame.

Notre Dame gave him an honorary degree. They werent booing about bail outs, stimulus plan, or other policies, except for abortion. Comrade Obama has held a pro abortion stance, and has had a voting record showing it(i can elaborate further, but its some fucked up shit). Notre Dame, a Catholic University, gave him an honorary degree. The crowd would have been a lot quieter had the degree not been given: Look at ASU.

Ok, where did I say I wanted him to fail? no where. But shit, you must be physic. I want Comrade Obama to fail. Comrade Obama succeeding means the country fails. Comrade Obama wants less in the private sector, and a much larger powerful government. Look at the auto companies and whats happening with GM and Chrysler. Now health care is his next target. The government does not need to be in charge of these things. Comrade Obama going through with all of this shit leads to more government and a loss of your freedom. Not to mention your kids and grandkids are going to pay for this shit. You are now seeing this country fail because Comrade Obama is succeeding. The economy has tanked. The government has thrown trillions of dollars around, and what has it done, closed dealerships, higest unemployment in 25 years, 1 out of 7 homes is being foreclosed... Comrade Obama and the left succeeded in passing this, and the country is now starting to fail. All TARP and the bailouts have done was to prolong the inevitable failure of these companies. All of these policies obama is pushing have dug us deeper in this economic hole. This healthcare business will be no different. If passed, it will hurt our country. I hope Comrade Obama and the left fails at getting that passed.

huh thats funny because the economy was already in a downward spiral when bush was in office. but it wasn't his fault either. it was a downward trend far exceeding obama's term which, if you dont have the memory of a goldfish, is still in its infancy. theres really no arguing with kids that are too damn near sighted. i might as well discuss this with a goldfish. by the way, im republican. you're just a jackass. im ashamed to be in the same party as you. funny how you're fine with bush extending the military reaches of the government, but not the medical reaches that would (as proven by canada) bring medical care to those that cannot afford it. oh and dont get up in arms over it because the current  system would still be in place so there wouldnt be any 5 month wait for treatment as fox claimed the other night.

If you've been paying any attention to current events, Obama is equally, if not more, embarassing. Nothing like a POTUS who goes to Europe and insults his own country and people, his little AF1 stunt over ground zero was also priceless. During one of his speeches to the Muslim world, as unremarkable and inconsequential as I am finding them to be, he said one thing that just made my day:

"And I consider it part of my responsibility as President of the United States to fight against negative stereotypes of Islam wherever they appear."

Actually, as POTUS, this is none of your concern...Right now, your responsibilities are to pull the country out of the economic gutter, to ensure that Americans are able to find and keep employment, and above all, to keep the country safe. It is ridiculous to say that it is your responsibility to fight against negative stereotypes against anybody, much less Muslims. In short, who gives a fuck about stereotypes. Concentrate on the real problems our country is facing.

The economy started tanking when the democrats took power of the hosue in 06. They were all about that BS sub prime lending stuff from happening but the democrats pushed it. Now Bush was not great either. He was not a conservative. He passed way too much stuff as far as spending. It was totally out of control, but Comrade Obama is even worse. Its not a thing of nearsightedness. Barack is all out there saying, "Im gonna buy our way out of this." and basically saying he'll stop the recession. He's not even close. All that had to be done was lower corporate tax rates to encourage companies to actually bring business here and create jobs. He also just needed to suspend capital gains taxes to increase the investment side of it.

How long do you think the current system is gonna last if theres a private option? I give it around 5 years before you see almost all the people on private systems having to switch to the public system. The private companies cannot compete with the government, which could lower its prices. Why would employers continue to pay for private health care insurance when their employees can just go to a public system?

Theres been 1.8 million jobs lost since he's been in office. Everything he's done has done nothing to create jobs. He's been lying saying he's saved jobs. Fucking bullshit there. There is absolutely no way you can prove that you have saved jobs. There is no data to back that up. I do understand that unemployment lags behind current times, but really 1.8 million jobs?


its good that the banks can return the money. The government wasn't going to let them do it either. But the tax cheat geithner said he's going to put that money into future bail outs... do people learn? obviously not. its a good sign, but things are not improving much and the predictions are not good.

I dont think anyone was expecting the economy to pull a 180 overnight...wait, well there were prob a few obama worshipers thinking that way, but this isn't even slowing down. The economy is not improving. It's gotten much worse since all of these bail outs and stimulus plan.

It started to fail economically with ridiculous spending while Bush was in office (The guy didnt have the balls to veto, and the republicans were stupid too). But you cant stop this recession with even more spending, actually far far far more spending. Buying your way out of this doesn't work. It will take forever to pay for this.

saving jobs.

What I am saying is that there is no way to know or prove if you have saved jobs. An economist with a optimistic prediction of the economy could argue that he saved jobs because his articles and reports encouraged businesses to not fire their employees they would have otherwise fired. They could claim they saved thousands of jobs. Theres not way to prove it, but theres no way to prove it wrong.


lets say that if he hadnt taken the measures he had, or just different measures, it would just be .3 million jobs lost... it could be that he didnt save ANY jobs. Im not saying that but you cant tell how many jobs are saved. Thats obama making up some number to convince you the stimulus plan is working. I think the word would be mismanage.


I dont think he's destroying the world, just in the process of severely hurting the foundations and freedoms of this country.

ok. ill agree that the numbers cant necessarily be proven. but cmon, the bush admin claimed COUNTLESS times about creating jobs as well, and it was no more provable (def not a word, but fuck it there. not to do the whole "oh yeah well bush..." thing, just saying, politicians have always done that, and the numbers have always been somewhat bsed. but it does go both ways, whats to say he didnt save more jobs than that either.

Its like me going into work tomorrow and being like "wow im not fired... obama saved my job!" When all reality my job was never threatened.

And Obama has spent 4 times as much as bush did his entire presidency.. and Obama spend 4 times as much in his first 100 days.... And i dont have the video but it was a interview on some news channel that said Obama is fiscally the worst president since Jimmy Carter and they cut the newsperson off mid speech... Government controlled media?.... I think so...

And for everyone who cant open there damn eyes and think for themselves, look beyond the mainstream media for once!

FYI: I will not respond to 99% of the people that quote me on this because i simply don't care to listen to a bunch of kids that dont really know anything...

hes spent a lot but to say hes fiscally "the worst" is a matter of opinion, for now at least. im not saying he doesnt have the potential to destroy a lot, but i think its rather early to start claiming hes brought an economic apocalypse upon us.

He has definitely sent the economy into a downward spiral by his ridiculous amounts of spending. And he has sent the unemployment rate sky high at 9% now!! That means 9% of america is unemployed... And he said it wouldn't go above 8% if he could do another stimulus, which he did and then it went past 8 right to 9%! He has forced Chrysler to close down dealers... and its true, Obama's party closed down a Chrysler dealership in florida and it consisted of 2% of America's Chrysler's sales... Now why the hell would you close one of the #1 dealerships in america? No reason...

Obama wants government control and he is getting it. I agree with Rush Limbah when he says he doesn't want obama to succeed. Because that means America fails....


And i know the media isnt really government controlled, but you would think so the way things are running... and there is no way in hell anyone can say the mainstream media is way way way way too biased.. And Obama is literally being a bitch about everything that goes wrong.. .he just says "the mess we inherited" fucking take responsibility your the President. He will never have my respect as a person or a president unless he mans up about shit..

yes. and as i said as a matter of purely opinion, you can say that he is fiscally the worst president in history.

but until our economy further tanks clearly due to his economic policy, or if his policy fails to get us out of the hole were already in, after a reasonable amount of time, you cant really call his fiscal policy the worst in history as if it is a fact.

Okay first point, somewhat valid. However, all presidents like to take credit for economic growth and then say, "well this whole economic thing... its complicated!" when the economy takes a downturn. This isn't unique to Obama. He's a politician just like everyone else. Good job sleuth.

Second point: pretty much total BS. Lets not forget that it was the Bush administration that supported the 800 billion dollar bank bailout. This was in place before Obama took office, and most "free market" conservatives even supported it because the credit markets were frozen and they actually listened to economists when they were saying the market was about to collapse. It wasn't a pretty fix, but it was a long time in the making, and a systemic problem that should have never been allowed to fester to the point that it did. Secondly, the Iraq war has cost the United States a trillion dollars since it begun in 2003. Considering the fact that even most conservatives will admit privately that it was a profoundly stupid thing to do, I believe that's the sound of your second argument falling apart. Okay moving on..

Third point. Look beyond the mainstream media. This doesn't mean go straight to your favorite wackjob conservative blog and accept what they say as fact. Its true that CNN and MSNBC are dispicable sources posing as legitimate news outlets. The news-for-profit industry makes everyone dumber. Fox News is equally if not more guilty of this. A working knowledge of current events around the world takes a while to accumulate, and even people that have dedicated their entire lives to trying to understand the economy debate these things. It doesn't mean that every pissed off teen is entitled to a "correct" opinion.  If you listen to unbiased new sources for long enough you start to let go of knee jerk radicalism and simplistic ideological characterizations of what are actually really complicated issues.

FYI: please don't quote reply me either, I'm drunk and I don't give a fuck beacuse you probly won't read this carefully enough to make a rational response anyway.
