Road Bikes

Ok here is my question I want to get a road bike to train for a few 24 hour Xc mountain Bike races I plan on doing this summer since all the bikes are on sale at all the shops around town I think I might just buy a bike now. I been looking at some Litespeed bikes and trek plus a few specialized so who makes a good road bike.

Hey everyone I have a Downhill bike for sale a Intense M1 it has XT and Race face componets plus brand new Monster T this is a no joke bike and Im selling for cheap!!!!

Well, since you won't be racing it.. you really don't need an expensive road bike if you are using it simply for training purposes.

Litespeeds are insanely expensive.

I know ORYX (Canadian Company) makes some well-priced road-bikes... my friend picked one up (he races it/good quality) and he likes it enough.

Wish I could help you, but I really don't know enough about road bikes other than what I've said.

i have a trek road bike, its awesome. i would recommend it definitely.

i dont know much about road bikes either but like ^he said you shouldnt spend to much money. i would actually just go to the gym and train there.

Litespeeds are rediculously nice, but also unbelieveable expensive. i got the Trek 5200 last year and i love it, but it too is super expensive (i dk how i got my parents to pay for it). i highly reccomend both companies, but just check out sales and prices. ride a few before you buy them, if you can

if ytour training for a Xc mountian bike race why would you want to get a light road bike? for trianing purposes wouldnt it be better to use a heavier bike on the road than the one your going to be using in the race?

keep the m1 and ride that thing around. that will build up your legs. i ride my giant dh team everywhere and now when i ski i can ski top to bottom 3000 vert runs without feeling any burn in my legs at all

^ he speaks the truth.. nothing is better then training on a heavy ass bike. pedal that thing up a steep in hill in your town 20 times.. your legs will burn gaureenteed..
