neither one is better. they are better for different things. no one will be able to tell you what one is better, unless they know how you ski and how big you are and how long you want them to last and how much money you have to spend. post that stuff up in the ski equipment forum and your sure to get some advice.

you can bend pistols almost in half without much effort at all.....softest ski i've ever held in my hand by far.....moships are definitely much stiffer, and get good reviews

the 04/05 189 pistols are supposedly a lot stiffer.

well im 5'9' around 160 and i currently ski some 176 rossi pow air pros. But im gonna be looking for some fatter skis.

The pistols do flex like a soft ski, but they ride a lot stiffer, because of the torsion box construction. The tip and tail are softer than the middle. I ride seths, I have tried Moships, and i didn't like them. They seemed poorly constructed, and not very durable. Also the seths perform much better than the moships out of the pow.

well I ride the 179 pistols from last year, and I love them, despite their noodle-like capabilities
the moship DOES get good reviews, except I'm siding toward the pistol cause its more of a big mtn ski, as opposed to a jibber's ski.
