Line Anthems or no?

Im looking for a park ski thats good for learning spins and rails.  Are these good for developing on jumps and rails?

Actually i lied. get anthems.
theres cheap anthems on porterstahoe.com 171 for only 200. but they're octoland..still sick

Really fun skis.. however if you rip bindings out, remounting is a big FAIL.

afterbangs are a better ski imo. they are lighter, WAY more poppy, and butters are easyer on them

despite what some people say, I can carve the shit outta these fat center mounted skis. Took me half a day to get used to a center mounted ski and I can carve as well on my anthems as I can on my chronics. One just involves being more of a man.

i have to agree, these can do quite well on groomers, and woods etc are equally doable if you know how to ski, any sorta powder takes work though and fun is greatly reduced.

I was actually very suprised and impressed with their performance, but I can't judge them in powder since the most I've had them in was 6 inches.

i found myself on a knee to waist deep day on these, i found te butterzone to be quite helpfull in getting back as far as possible to not go otb, haha, but really, it was one hell of a workout that day, went tumbling a bunch too.  i still enjoyed it cause hell, its powder.  but i never want to take these out again if theres more than like 6in - a ft of new snow, esp since i have some blends now.

what do you mean by that? The bindings on my anthems broke so I bought some new ones and remounted them. does that count as ripping bindings out? +k for help

It counts as remounting, it was probably just my specific case and the bindings I used, but there were overlapping holes no matter how we tried to get them to fit, and I ended up ripping out the remounted pair too, now my anthems are dead :(

oh man that sucks! sorry to hear that. but were the new bindings being mounted for different boot size? i didn't remount the anthems myself but i assumed it would have just gone into the same drillholes because the bindings were identical to the previous pair

I fucked up the original bindings that were on them and mounted a different kind afterwards, I work at a shop so I just helped one of the techs remount them and we couldn't avoid overlapping holes so we had to use a shit ton of epoxy and metal locknuts that you attach to the core.. they still ripped out. so.. be careful if you remount with different bindings I guess. In both cases it was mostly the bindings breaking and putting too much stress on a couple of the binding screws.

Anthems are a damn good park ski that can handle its own all over. Its super soft, but the extra width over the invader adds some stability too. I have invaders, not anthems, but I love them. I can tell that if they were a little wider they would be just stable enough and be really fun. Don't expect to charge on these skis, but expect to have fun.

And despite what people say about the width being enough for pow as well, they are not pow skis at all. You will probably survive the day, but it would be a lot more effort and half as fun as being on something fatter.

What about height, weight, ability, location etc? If you give more info people's help will likely be more relevant...
