first, searchbar. but i have to say that theyre amazing! really pricey but super light and pretty playful. an overall great park ski. and they can somewhat float on pow,
So I don't know about the 08s, however my cousin has the 07s and they are SUPER light (to light for me, they feel like there's nothing there) and really stiff, plus since they're so skinny buttering was almost impossible. if you're looking for a good jump ski, this is the ski for sure, super light and landings were nice, the only downside it be VERY careful on the rails, his edge started to rip out after about 20 days.
either way same ski diff topsheet, except the newer one has aircoat which makes it about 40% lighter. after being broken in properly, they are pretty soft in the tail with what id say is about a medium stiff nose. they pop sooo nice, best jumping ski out there, it really feels like they arent even there. on rails they are really nice too due to the lightness. only problems are that ifthe edges get pushed in on a rail, its only a matter of time till the ski delams...but thats what happends on all cap construction skis. ive delamed a pair a year, but im notoriously hard on skis cause in the mid west m riding mostly rails, 5 days a week, so stuff gets worn down pretty quickly, i have one pair just for jumps/pipe and those things are mint even with 80+ days on them... due to the lack of rails.
One of my friends had a pair. He really enjoyed them, but managed to ski only about 3-4 weeks on them. He was just skiing about normally, not hitting any jumps or rails and they split right through the core. I think he's trying to get another pair on the garantee. despite this i think that they are great park specific skis perhaps not the most durable however
im a mainly a rail skier, and i rode them all season nonstop on rails, and the only problem (if you could call this a problem) is there is a very ting edge crack on the right skis inside edge (the one i scissor with). so id say they're great rail skis. at least for me.
