im getting a bike and i want to hit dirt jumps, but have some versatility when it comes to doing other things like flatground and a little park

im wondering if this bike is the bike for me, that i can do more than just trails and dirt jumps with

Those are both nice bikes. I know from experience that FIT makes awesome bikes. But personally, I'd rather have a mountain bike for dirt jumps/trails (like Specialized P. Series, or Kona Shonky), but those bikes don't really get it done for park or flatground.  If it's just between those to bikes, I'd go with the FIT, it's lighter, probably better made, has better components, and is only a little bit cheaper. but if youre choosing between those two, theyre both very similar. id go with the fit though. its lighter, so more control, and i just trust fit.

fuck gt, my philosophy is that if a company gets sold at wal mart its shit no matter how good the specs might look. That being said if you are looking at a fit i found that they are a lot more money for little or no difference. When i was buying a bike like 2 weeks ago i narrowed it down to a fit and a verde and the biggest difference was the fact that the fit had a full chromoly frame which is not a huge deal. The verde however cost like a hundred bucks less and to me felt like it rode better than the fit. So as much as i like fit cause they make sick looking stuff, the price you pay for an american made frame isn't really worth it unless you are buying for status or that it simply feels better when you ride it. I hope that helped at least a little bit.

Hey im wanting to get a BMX as well and have ridden downhill and dirt-jumping bikes for years now but decided that it was time for a change. I am looking to spend between 700-850 on the BMX but know absolutely nothing about BMX's. I will be using it primarily for bowl, street and dirt-jumping.

If you're a smaller guy you might want to get a bike thats full chromo. This will make it easier to bunny hop and stuff. Also, the more sealed bearings you can get, the better. Pick a bike that feels good, not one thats a name brand.
