hey,

im looking to buy my first real video camera...obveously i dont need an amazing camera since its my first one.

Any suggestions? my price range would be up to 500$

try to find a gl2... its not the best, but it has some feetures of good cameras and it will get you pumped for higher quality

u can get a vx1000 for pretty cheap on ebay for 700 which isnt a bad deal
